My name is Rodney Makena, I was born and raised in Limpopo in a small village called Legolaneng. I completed my matric in the year 2019 at St Paul's High School, right after my matric I went to register at a higher institution (Ekurhuleni West College) where i studied a course in Financial Management which i completed in the year 2021. I am a self-motivated person. I pride myself on being a lifelong learner and seeking out new knowledge and experiences.
Work Experience
*I have no formal work experiences but after my colleges years I started doing projects for myself by learning new skills in Ms Excel and Word in order to increase my level of intellect in computer skills.
Why N6 Financial Management
I chose Financial Management because I always loved Accounting since from high School. I knew there was still a lot for me to learn more about the business side of finances thats why i ended up registering myself to Financial Management to acquire more broader knowledge about how things are done in the corporate world.
Internship
After completing my N6 in Financial Management in December 2021, I then started applying for available internships. I submitted my documents at school for internship opportunities. Within few months of waiting I received a call from intelleto informing me that I need to upload my details on gwconnect website, they received my details from school. Few weeks after uploading all my details on the website. I then received a call from intelleto informing me that i have been shortlisted for an interview at Doppio Zero. My HR Team made sure that i grab the opportunity in both hands by providing all tips for the preparation of the interview. On the day after the successful interview i received a call from My HR Team saying I've been selected for an induction. Few days after induction i received a called from intelleto congratulating me of securing the internship, and gave me date on when i will be reporting for work.
Company
I reported for work at Doppio Zero on the 7th February 2023. It has been wonderful being here. I have been exposed to the corporate world extensively by workingwith the accounts department. The team showed that it is not only about business but familia. I've been motivated throughout and was given opportunities to learn and improve myself. I'm very thankful to contribute to the Doppio team as a finance intern, so much grateful for the opportunity i received.
