My name is Mashudu Matshili; I am 21 years of age. I was born and breed in Soweto and I completed my Matric in the year 2014 at MH Joosub Technical secondary school. I went on to study Financial Management at Central Johannesburg College Park town Campus in the year 2015. I love communicating with people and learning new things from everyone I meet. I am very much self-motivated, inquisitive and love inspiring people to follow their dreams as I venture to make mine come true.
Work Experience
*Being straight from High school, I was never employed or worked anywhere in my Life.
Immediately after Matric I decided I wanted to apply myself in the knowledge I had acquired from high school in a higher institution (Tertiary).
Why Financial Management N6
I chose to study Financial Management because I had a passion for Financials which lead me in venturing into Commercial subjects from the time I was in Grade 9. I realised my great ability to save money and spend in the right way benefitting me and everyone around me.
Internship
After completing my N6 in Financial Management in June 2016, I then started applying for available internships and while I was applying, I came across a gwconnect post on Facebook. I liked the page and registered my profile with gwconnect. Weeks later I received a call from Intelleto informing me that I have been shortlisted for an interview at Steinhoff. The HR Administrator sent me all the details I needed for the interview. I was excited and nervous at the fact that this was the first interview in my lifetime; I had never been to an Interview before. The details that Intelleto sent me also included tips on how to make it through to the interview and a motivation to grab the opportunity with both hands. I then made sure I work hard in preparation to the interview and made it through to the first Interview. Intelleto called me again after a week that I have been called through for a second interview with Steinhoff.
After another week I received a call again from intelleto congratulating me on passing my interview and that I will be reporting to work next year in February at that time.
Company
On the first of February 2017, I reported to Steinhoff as one of the Financial Management Interns. Steinhoff is a German International retail company that is based in South Africa.
Working at Steinhoff has been a wonderful experience for me. The people there are willing to teach and help in acquiring the required skills in Financial Management. I am gaining a lot of experience with Steinhoff and still learning a lot learn a lot as I venture more into my Internship.
