The purpose of the Employment Equity Act is to :
- Eliminate unfair discrimination and provide equal opportunity and fair treatment during an employment process.
- Implement AA(Affirmative Action) to redress disadvantages in employment experienced by designated groups.
- Ensure that these groups have an equitable representation in all occupational categories and levels in the workforce.
