My name is Khethukuthula Bhekuyise Ngwenya. I grew up in Empangeni in KZN and completed my matric at Old Mill High School. I furthered my studies at UJ where I completed my Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting in 2023.
Work Experience
*Prior to the commencement of my current internship I had not had any formal work experience besides tutoring on a part time basis. I tutored Pure and Technical Maths, Accounting & Physical Sciences for Grade 11s and 12s at Langlaagte Technical High School for MRoyals Tutors and also for a government program called SSIP under Sci-Bono.
Why Bachelor of commerce in accounting
My passion for numbers is what drove me to this career field. Numbers have always been my strong point, and the thrill of analyzing figures made me fall in love with accounting and maths at a young age. My aim is to use my skills that I have developed over the course of my tertiary journey to provide significant value to the accounting industry and also one day own a firm that will provide better opportunities for the young up and coming accounting professionals.
Internship
After completing the requirements for obtaining my degree, I made it a habit to proactively apply for jobs so that I can gain valuable industry experience. I came across a Saipa Recruitment agency on LinkedIn that offered me an Interview at Verimark through Intelleto. After completing the interview in February, I was called back to start working on 1 March 2024 as a Financial Planning & Analysis intern at Verimark Head Office. To this day I am immensely grateful to Intelleto for providing me with the opportunity and I aim to learn as much as I can and provide value during the course of my 12 month internship. I would highly recommend Intelleto to any youth looking for similar opportunities.
