My name is Mahlonolo Magaoai, I’m 26 years old and from Gauteng (Tembisa). I matriculated in 2016 at Tersia King Learning Academy. After matric I completed a Pre-Degree programme in Biomedicine at Pearson Institution of Higher Education, due to financial problems i couldn’t do my degree, I opted for other opinions in 2022 by applying for NSFAS and registered for Financial Management at Ekurhuleni West College (Kempton Park Campus) as it was my second option in life. I completed my N6 June 2023.
Work Experience
*I worked at Festive (in Olifantsfontein)as a general worker from 2023 July till Dec 2023.
Why N6 Financial Management
Accounting was my second option to fall on , when the science field didn’t work out. I choose Financial Management N6 as the end goal is CA(SA). The qualification equipped me with the skills to analyse financial statements, manage budget, make investments decisions, and assess risk. It is a great foundation to lay leading to the end goal.
Internship
While I was working at Festive , I got a call from GW Connect ,and asked if I was still interested in an internship. They organised an interview for me in January. I passed my interview and started my internship at the end of January 2024. I was so excited and can say that I believe that GWConnect does work. Thanks to GWConnect I’m currently an intern at a very respectable company. I would most definitely recommend GWConnect to anyone and truly believe that they will also be successful in finding an internship.
Company
I now work at Smada Security Solution (as a Finance intern), which is one of the leading security companies in South Africa. The work environment is very good and safe. Everyone here works as a team with commitment. There is a challenge which makes me gain more experience, as I have to put what I learned into practice.
