About Me
My name is Sanelisiwe Masemula, a 24-year-old from Tsakane, Brakpan. I completed my matric at Reshogofaditswe Secondary School in 2018. Between 2019 and 2021, I pursued a Financial Management qualification at Ekurhuleni East TVET College (Brakpan Campus). Unfortunately, the COVID-19 outbreak in 2020 caused delays in my studies, but I persevered and successfully completed my N6 in December 2021.

Work Experience
*In the first semester of 2019, I was unable to secure admission to the college due to limited space in the Financial Management program. Determined to continue my studies, I decided to wait for the second semester, which began mid-year. During those initial six months, I worked as a waiter at Mike’s Kitchen Restaurant (Springsgate), where I honed my customer service skills and gained valuable work experience. My responsibilities included: Preparing the dining area. Welcoming and seating guests. Taking orders and serving food and beverages. Processing payments. Cleaning and resetting tables. After completing my studies, I spent the first half of 2022 applying for various positions, but unfortunately, my applications were unsuccessful. During this time, I assisted my older brother with his internet café business, gaining additional experience in business operations while continuing to search for internship opportunities.

Why N6 Financial Management
In high school, I discovered my passion for business and finance through a business studies course. As part of a simulation project, I managed budgets for our school’s tuckshop, which taught me the importance of resource allocation and strategic planning. That experience inspired me to pursue a career in financial management, as I realized it was not just a skill but a tool to create stability and opportunities.

Internship
At the beginning of 2024, a friend introduced me to GWConnect, a platform that helps connect candidates with internships. I created an online profile, and within two months, I was called for an interview at T3 Projects (Pty) Ltd, a construction company in Boksburg. I am proud to say that I joined T3 Projects as a finance intern on April 8, 2024.

Company
The work environment at T3 Projects has been highly supportive, and my colleagues have been instrumental in my learning and professional growth. Over the past eight months, I have settled into my role and genuinely enjoy the experience of contributing to a dynamic finance team. I am eager to continue building my skills and advancing my career in financial management while making a meaningful impact in the workplace. As a finance intern at T3 Projects, I support the finance department’s daily operations by performing essential financial processing and reporting tasks. My responsibilities include: Receiving and sorting source documents for payments. Capturing payments in the financial system. Matching invoices with purchase orders. Preparing creditors’ reconciliations and age analyses. Ensuring accurate bank reconciliations through journal entries.
