My name is Mthokozisi Nxumalo, an enthusiastic IT graduate originally from KwaZulu-Natal (KZN) and now based in Johannesburg, with a strong passion for software development and IT support. I hold a National Diploma in Information and Communications Technology (ICT) from Durban University of Technology. I thrive on solving real-world problems with technology and am always eager to gain more experience and continue growing as a developer.
Work Experience
*I have 6 months of experience as an IT Support Technician at eThekwini Municipality, where I was responsible for system maintenance and user support, ensuring smooth IT operations and improved user satisfaction.
Why Diploma in IT
Growing up, I was always fascinated by computers and how they work. I chose to study ICT with a focus on Applications Development because it allowed me to combine logic and creativity to build practical solutions. I wanted to be part of digital transformation shaping our world, and my studies helped me gain valuable skills in programming, database management, and systems development that now form the foundation of my career.
Internship
I came across a post about Intellecto on Facebook and decided to create my profile. That was some time ago, and since then, Intellecto kept reaching out whenever there was a new client looking for IT graduates. Unfortunately, I wasn’t in Johannesburg at the time and had other commitments, so I couldn’t accept any offers. Later in 2024, after my contract ended, I returned home. That’s when I received another call from Intellecto. Since I was no longer working and was already planning to relocate to Johannesburg, I decided to give it a try. The timing couldn’t have been better — I received the call just when I needed it most. I went through the recruitment process, and that’s how I secured my internship.
Company
I'm currently working as a software developer intern at ELO Digital Office, a company that provides enterprise content management (ECM) and document management solutions. ELO helps businesses digitize their workflows, manage documents securely, and streamline processes through automation and intelligent information management.
