My name is Busiswa Malulwane and I am from the Eastern Cape province, but currently reside in the KwaZulu Natal province at Shakas head which is located at Ballito. I matriculated in 2018 at Palmerton High school which is located at Eastern Cape in iNgquza local municipality. I then went to further my studies at eThekwini TVET college and did my electrical engineering course N1 in 2020. In 2023 December I completed my N6 in business management certificate.
Work Experience
*In 2019 I worked in a skills development program that was a 3 months contract which taught team work, communication and working in a fast paced environment. In 2021 march I worked in a betting platform called G-bets sports and entertainment as a sales person or promoter for the betting platform which also enriched my communication skills and team work and team effort, customer service and how to handle customer queries and complaints in a work environment, also taught me how to use the selling techniques, my duties were to meet and affiliate new customers and teach them how to use our betting app and all the necessary information they need. In 2022 in October I worked as a bakery attendant casual worker in Sasol garage which also assisted me to better understand the customer service industry background and getting to meet and great over a cup of coffee to better understand customers, my duties were to meet and great customers to serve them over counter and pitch specials that we have in house.
Why N6 Business Management
I chose to study business management due to the scarcity of job opportunities in our country, I am from a rural environment whereby you have to travel far distances to go to town to get your daily day to day needs. I want to open my own businesses which can then in turn bring more job opportunities and contribute to our countries economy. My passion for business started when I was still young due to having to fend for myself at an early stage which made me to save and buy products like clothing and perfumes to pay for my rent and send some money home when the need arises. I hope one day I can fulfill my dreams as I intend on chasing them.
Internship
I secured my internship last year through a link posted on Facebook, which I then filled in my application through GW connect which played an important role and secured me a place to do my Inservice training. U am currently participating in the internship programme and the company that they placed me on saw great potential in me and offered to train me and now am one of the well payed interns and am able to do most things for my family and my self and also growing my small perfume business and import clothing; and it's all thanks to the my support group for not giving up on me pushing me to strive even when I getting a little bit too overwhelmed and distracted they are patient and take walk with me every step of the way.
Company
I am currently working with Bidvest McCarthy Toyota Ballito at service department I started as what I can call a general worker doing all the filling, invoicing, warranties, bookings and relieving cashier and receptionist. They then saw my potential and offered me a position and am now currently a service adviser trainee. It is a fast paced environment and offers great opportunities to grow and learn as each day brings a new chapter and a learson yo learn. It can be demanding sometimes very challenging environment whereby you are forced to think in your feet,to think outside the box, and allows you to meet and communicate with different races and to adopt to different filters it's teaching me negotiate skills, customer service and automotive background which are all essential for my growth.
