Hi, I’m Precious Cumbane. I studied Financial Management at Central Johannesburg TVET College, completing a one year and six-month program. As part of the course, in-service training is required in order to obtain my diploma. After finishing my theoretical studies, I began the difficult process of searching for an internship — a journey that tested my patience, persistence, and belief in myself.
Work Experience
*I took a retail job in sales to stay productive and continue developing my interpersonal and customer service skills. Although it wasn't in my field, I used the time to stay motivated and committed to my long-term goal.
Why N6 Financial Management
Growing up, I’ve always had a love for numbers and problem-solving. I knew from early on that I wanted to build a career in finance. The pressure, the challenges, and the sense of breakthrough when solving financial problems — these are things I genuinely enjoy.
Internship
For several months, I applied to various companies, including Intelleto, where I submitted my application through their online support platform.
Then, one day, I received a call: I had secured an internship with Intelleto and was placed at Generator and Plant Hire. It felt surreal — after months of searching, I was finally given the opportunity I had worked so hard for.
Company
Currently, I’m gaining hands-on experience across multiple departments within the finance team. I started in Accounts Payable, moved to Accounts Receivable, and am now placed in the Cash Book department. Each team I’ve worked with has been incredibly supportive, always willing to share their knowledge and guide me through every process.
This internship is not just a requirement for my diploma — it’s a valuable foundation for my future in finance. I’m deeply grateful for the opportunity, and I look forward to learning even more in the months ahead.
