My name is Vanecia Baloyi, I am from Hlaneki, Giyani. I hold a Bcom Accounting degree and further completed BCTA from the University of Johannesburg. I am very passionate about numbers.
Work Experience
*In 2022 I was fortunate to get the management trainee employment opportunity from Laduma Hardware and after two months of working, I got a promotion to serve as an Inventory manager.
Why Degree in Finance/Commerce
I come from humble beginnings, growing up to witness how my parents managed to use the little that they had to raise us, helped develop a need to appreciate budgeting and making good financial decisions. Given my passion for numbers, it was easy for me to decide that Accountancy is the route to go. This qualification didn’t only equip me with skills to grow as a professional but to also grow as an individual.
Internship
In 2020 I applied and had an interview with Intelleto however I was not successful then, I guess my information was still in the database. In October 2024 I got an email enquiring if I’m still in the job market, that’s how I ended up getting the internship.
Company
I am currently a finance intern at WGH Chartered Accountants, working under Ford. The main thing that intrigues me is that the work is relevant to my studies and I am currently handling 4 clients’ accounts which is an exciting challenge because this broadens my skills of working under pressure and meeting deadlines.
