About Me
My name is Tobane Johannes Kekana, a 22-year-old Internal Audit graduate with a Diploma in Internal Auditing. I’ve always had a natural curiosity for how organizations operate behind the scenes, and that curiosity turned into a passion for risk management, compliance, and ensuring financial integrity.

Work Experience
*Before securing my internship, I was an Assistant Baker at Pick n Pay for 6 months. The experience helped me understand the importance of attention to detail, ethical responsibility, and strong communication—skills.

Why Diploma in Finance/Commerce
What drew me to internal auditing was the idea of being a watchdog—not in a negative sense, but as someone who helps organizations run more effectively and ethically. I’ve always been analytical, and I enjoy digging deep to uncover insights that can make processes better. Studying Internal Auditing gave me the tools to do just that, and I haven’t looked back since.

Internship
With the support of GWConnect and a lot of determination, I managed to secure an internship that aligns perfectly with my career goals. The application process had its challenges, but I stayed focused, prepared thoroughly, and believed in my potential. I’m thankful for the guidance and resources that helped me get here.

Company
I’m currently completing my internship at WGH Chartered Accountants, where I’m part of a dynamic Finance team. The work is exciting and insightful—I’m involved in General finance clerk practices . Every day is a learning opportunity, and I’m grateful to be applying my knowledge in real-world scenarios while being mentored by experienced professionals. I’ve attached a professional photo of myself, and I hope my story encourages other students to never give up on their dreams. Success doesn’t always come overnight, but with perseverance, passion, and the right support, it absolutely is within reach.
