My name is Nokwanda Mofokeng. I grew up in a town called Hammarsdale in Durban, Kwa-Zulu-Natal, but I currently reside in Sunnyside, Pretoria. Matriculated in 2017 at Albini Girls' High and furthered my studies in 2019 at Mangosuthu University of Technology with a Diploma in HRM. I am an enthusiastic, dedicated, and self-driven individual.
Work Experience
*In 2021, while still studying for my qualification, I joined a Peer Mentorship Program as a mentor, tutoring and giving guidance to first-year students in my field of study. After my graduation, I looked for a job and gained one in 2023 at Elderado Spur Grill as a hostess and waitress for one year, serving customers, doing meet and greet, and further assisting them with what they need, and in 2024 I became an Educational Assistant at a High school at my home town, where by I was assisting teachers with their daily duties, receptionist duties and tutoring students.
Why Diploma in HRM
Actually, my qualification chose me, I would say, with no intentions of studying for HRM, I further fell in love with it through the knowledge I have gained in the process of my studies. The knowledge it gave me about how to deal with and work with people, the processes of assisting people, triggered me to go further with my studies.
Internship
After a few years of applying and searching for a job or internship that relates to my studies, to gain practical experience, I finally got one, when I moved to Pretoria at WGH Consulted through applying on P-Net for the longest. Excited, I accepted the opportunity that would finally give me practical and knowledgeable experience based on my field of study.
Company
The environment I work in now has motivated me to work hard, be self-confident, and goal-driven. It is very welcoming and diverse, giving me a chance to meet different kinds of people with different kinds of languages, and having a chance to learn from my colleagues and supervisors on how to gain success.
