About Me
My name is Matilda Mashego, and I am originally from a small township in Limpopo called Dennilton Magakadimeng. Growing up in a community where financial literacy and opportunity were limited, I studied at Nkangala TVET College, where I completed my N6 in Financial Management in June 2024. During my time at college, I focused on developing strong accounting and administrative skills, especially in financial reporting, budgeting, and cost management. My coursework was not only theoretical but also practical, preparing me for real-world application

Work Experience
* Although I didn’t have formal work experience before my internship, I actively applied the principles I learned in college by assisting local small businesses with basic bookkeeping and budgeting. This helped me build confidence in my ability to handle financial tasks and communicate financial information clearly

Why N6 in Financial Management
I developed a deep interest in understanding how money works and how financial systems can empower individuals and businesses. This passion led me to pursue a qualification in Financial Management

Internship
I found my current internship opportunity through consistent online job searching and by staying in contact with people in the finance field. I applied to WG House Accountants and was grateful to be accepted as an intern. I believe what set me apart was my eagerness to learn and my solid foundation in financial management principles.

Company
I am currently working as an Accounts Payable Agent at WG House Accountants, a company that provides professional accounting services to various clients. My responsibilities include processing invoices, verifying financial documents, capturing transactions, and assisting with monthly reconciliations. I’m learning how critical accuracy and time management are in the finance sector, and each day I gain valuable exposure to the flow of real business finances.
