My name is Moloko Kgopyane and I grew up in Mokopane -Mogalakwena, Limpopo where I completed my matric at Tlou Matlala Secondary School in 2015. I enrolled for BSc Computer Science at the University of Limpopo and completed my degree last year, 2024.
Work Experience
*I was employed at Boxer Superstore by Edge Field Marketing as a Brand Ambassador for Tymebank in July 2022 which helped me complete my degree and also enroll in cybersecurity courses. My task was to provide quality customer service, sell Tymebank products to customers and meet monthly targets.
Why BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN MATHEMATICAL SCIENCE
I had interest in technology from a young age through video games and science fiction entertainment, however, I had little access or exposure to gadgets. Upon completing my matric I took time to familiarize myself with Information Technology through computer literacy courses and eventually got accepted at the University of Limpopo to grow my knowledge and skills in Computer Systems. Through continuous learning I even got exposed to cybersecurity and completed a few certifications so that I can be part of the community that provides a safe and secure computer applications and systems in the world of today and the future.
Internship
I continuously applied to internships and was contacted by Intelleto, which is in connection to GWConnect, for an interview. I was then appointed as an IT Intern.
Company
I am enjoying my current job role as it provides good, necessary training and exposure to security roles. The IT Department team in this company is very supportive and goal oriented. My seniors continuously provide opportunities for me to upskill and build a strong foundation required in the industry.
