About me: My name is Shakila Ngwenya and I am a young individual who is currently pursuing a Financial management qualification. I truly enjoy the practical course that comes from this qualification, and one gets to apply financial principals on a day to day basis.

*Past experience: I secured my internship, 6 months after completing my theoretical learning in college which was quiet challenging because I was exposed more into Accountancy in college as it wasn't part of my high school studies, however, I found my rhythm. And Prior to that I had volunteered into a non-profit organisation as a marketing assistant.
Why Finance
Why choose Financial Management: I initially chose accounting without knowing much about it, but I quickly discovered a genuine passion for the field. I now enjoy how the financial systems works in a business setting. And that it's analytical think and problem-solving skills can be used in one's personal life.

How I got my internship: Thanks to GWConnect, I was able to secure my internship by staying informed about their openings and carefully preparing my documents. Their ongoing support made a significant difference, helping me take a meaningful step forward in my career.

.About the company I'm working for: Currently, I am an Intern in T3 Projects Pty(Ltd), where I have the opportunity to gain practical experience in doing things such as Reconciliation, Learning and Development, Administrative finance tasks. The supportive and professional setting encourages daily learning, helping me develop a strong foundation as I prepare for a career in finance.
