My name is Mbali Elorcia Nkuna,I currently reside in Tembisa(Winnie Mandela),but originally from Limpopo,Mabayeni Village.In 2020 I matriculated from Jilongo high school then went to further my studies at University of Johannesburg doing Diploma in accountancy(2021-2023) and advance diploma in financial management (2024)

Why Diploma in Finance/Commerce
I chose to pursue a Diploma in Accountancy and an Advanced Diploma in Financial Management because I have always been passionate about understanding how businesses operate financially. I wanted to build strong skills in analysing financial data, managing resources efficiently, and making informed decisions that drive growth and sustainability. Studying these courses provided me with both the technical expertise in accounting principles and the strategic perspective needed for effective financial management, preparing me for real-world business challenges.
Internship
After completing my advance diploma, around January 2025 one of my friends told me about GWConnect and how they help graduate students. I started communicating with them and within a time period of one week I was called for preliminary interview with them. After that I went for a formal interview competing with other candidates, but was unsuccessful.The GWConnect team motivated me not to give up, until I was called for another interview at Barcelos head office, where I was successful
Company
I am currently interning in the finance department at Barcelos Head Office.It is healthy and welcoming environment to work at,the people are also friendly and helpful. Working closely with the finance team has helped me understand how strong financial management supports the company’s growth and franchise operations across all branches.
