My name is Mahlatse Maja. I studied BCom Accounting at the University of Johannesburg. I’m passionate about finance and consulting, and I’m eager to keep developing my professional skills while working towards becoming a Chartered Accountant.

Why BCom Accounting
I chose Accounting because I’ve always been interested in how businesses manage their finances and create value. I wanted a qualification that gives me solid technical knowledge and opens opportunities in areas like auditing, consulting, and investment banking.

I got my internship through GWConnect, which is my college’s career placement platform. They connected me with the opportunity at Akhile, and that’s how I was able to join the company.
Company
Akhile Management and Consulting is a professional services firm that provides financial management, consulting, and auditing solutions, especially in the public sector. They focus on improving governance, compliance, and financial systems for their clients. Being here has allowed me to apply what I studied in real-world situations and gain exposure to consulting work.
