My name is Dzunisani Gracious Thaula, and I’m 29 years old. I’m passionate about finance and numbers, and I enjoy working in environments that challenge me to think critically and find solutions. I’ve always been driven by growth and the desire to build a career that aligns with my strengths and interests.
Work Experience
*Before starting my internship in finance, I worked at Consol and later at Adgapackaging for a total of 3 years. My role there was as a product checker, which taught me a lot about responsibility, consistency, and quality control. However, over time I realized that I needed to take a bold step toward the career I really wanted—one that aligned with my studies and long-term goals. So, I made the decision to resign and pursue an internship in finance.
Why N6 Financial Management
I chose to study Financial Management because I’ve always enjoyed working with numbers and solving problems. Finance constantly presents new challenges, and I enjoy the sense of achievement that comes from overcoming them. For me, finance is not just about money—it's about strategy, growth, and making informed decisions. That’s what drew me in and kept me motivated throughout my studies. I currently hold an N6 in Financial Management.
Internship
I got my internship through my college, which helped connect students with companies offering real-world experience. I’m grateful for the opportunity because it’s allowed me to apply the theory I learned in the classroom to actual work situations, helping me grow professionally and personally.
Company
I’m currently doing my internship in the finance department of a company that’s given me great exposure to the day-to-day responsibilities of a financial professional. I’ve been learning about capturing cash receipts, processing payments, managing records, and supporting the finance team in various tasks. The experience has been eye-opening, and I’m excited to keep learning and growing in this field.
