During my studies, I gained practical exposure to preparing journal entries, trial balances, VAT calculations, and financial reports using Xero, QuickBooks, Sage Pastel, and Microsoft Excel. Currently, I am focused on starting my professional career in finance or accounting. I bring strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and the ability to work accurately with financial data. I am confident in using accounting software and Excel for reconciliations, reporting, and transaction processing. I chose to study BCom Accounting because I have a strong interest in how financial information supports business decision-making. I enjoy working with numbers, analysing data, and ensuring accuracy, which are all essential in accounting. During my studies, I became particularly interested in financial reporting, taxation, and how businesses use financial data to manage performance and plan for the future. I also saw accounting as a strong and versatile career path that provides opportunities for growth in areas such as finance, auditing, and business management.
