My name is Alilali Mukwevho originally from Limpopo, in a small village called Madombidzha. I moved from home to the Western Cape to further my studies at the University of the Western Cape (UWC). After completing my studies in 2025, I decided to relocate to Gauteng in search of better job opportunities and career
Work Experience
*While I did not have extensive formal work experience, I gained valuable exposure through participating in vacation work at Moore Cape Town and being part of the SAIPA Accounting Integrated Work Programme, which was school-based.These opportunities introduced me to the professional environment and allowed me to develop practical skills in accounting, teamwork, and communication. They also helped me understand how the knowledge I gained during my studies is applied in real world situations, which prepared me for my current role.
Why Degree in Finance/Commerce
I chose Financial Accounting because I grew up in an environment where I was often exposed to financial discussions and responsibilities, which made me want to understand how businesses manage and report their finances. I also naturally enjoy working with numbers and doing calculations, which made the field feel like a good fit for me from young age.
Internship
I applied for another internship through PNet, but unfortunately I was not successful. About a week or two later, I received a call informing me about another internship opportunity that had become available and asking if I would be interested by the same people .I agreed to be considered, and that is how I got this internship.
Company
I am currently working at WGH Consult (Pty) Ltd, where I am involved in finance related functions
