Work Experience
*As a recent graduate, I did not have formal work experience before joining the Work Experience Preparation Programme. However, throughout my studies I developed valuable skills such as time management, problem-solving, teamwork, analytical thinking, and attention to detail. My academic journey prepared me for the professional environment and gave me a strong foundation in accounting and finance principles.
Why Degree in Finance/Commerce
I chose to study Financial Accounting because I have always been interested in how businesses operate and make financial decisions. I enjoyed working with numbers and analysing information, and I wanted a qualification that would provide a strong foundation for a professional career. During my studies, I discovered a growing interest in taxation and compliance, which has motivated me to explore opportunities within the tax field.
Internship
After completing my studies, I actively searched for opportunities to gain practical experience. Through MY HR Solutions and the Work Experience Preparation Programme (EPP), I was introduced to an opportunity at Westcon-Comstor. Following the recruitment and interview process, I was successfully placed as a Withholding Tax Analyst. I am grateful for the opportunity to gain valuable industry experience and begin my professional career.

I am currently working at Westcon-Comstor as a Withholding Tax Analyst. Westcon-Comstor is a global technology distributor that partners with leading technology vendors and supports businesses through innovative technology solutions. Since joining the company, I have been exposed to a professional corporate environment where I am learning about tax processes, compliance requirements, professional communication, and teamwork. My supervisor and colleagues have been supportive and welcoming, which has made my transition into the workplace a positive experience.
