My name is Dzanga Rambuda. I was born and raised in Johannesburg. I matriculated in 2020 and went on to complete a Bachelor’s degree in Information and Communications Technology at the University of Mpumalanga in 2024. I further advanced my studies by completing an Honours degree in the same field in 2025. I am passionate about solving problems through technology and continuously improving my skills. I am adaptable, eager to learn, and enjoy exploring new ideas and challenges.
Work Experience
*I previously worked at the University of Mpumalanga as an IT Student Technician in 2025. This role provided me with valuable practical experience in the IT field and helped me develop strong communication skills, while also improving my ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical and operational problems. It further enhanced my technical knowledge and equipped me with the skills and experience needed to grow in my IT career.
Why Bachelor’s degree in Information and Communications Technology
Initially, Information and Communications Technology was not my first choice. However, as I gained more knowledge about the field, I began to understand its impact and potential to address real-world challenges. I started noticing the many problems within my community and began thinking about how I could use the skills and knowledge I was acquiring to develop solutions. Considering how technology has become an essential part of everyday life, I became motivated to explore ways of using technological advancements to improve people’s lives, address community challenges, simplify daily tasks, and help educate users on how they can benefit from technology. Over time, I developed a strong passion for the field and became committed to continuously learning, evaluating challenges, and finding innovative ways to apply my skills to solve problems and create meaningful solutions.
Internship
I created my profile on GW Connect in 2022 with the goal of finding internship opportunities or opportunities to gain practical experience through volunteering. In 2026, after graduated my Honours degree, I received a call from Outex asking whether I was still interested in an IT internship opportunity. I was definitely interested and welcomed the opportunity to further develop my skills and gain industry experience. I was selected for an interview, where I had the opportunity to demonstrate my knowledge, passion for IT, and willingness to learn. Following the interview, the company was pleased with my performance, and I was successfully selected for the internship.
Company
I am currently working at DNI, and I have had a very positive experience since joining the company. The organisation provides a healthy, welcoming, and friendly working environment, with supportive colleagues who have made my transition into the workplace enjoyable. Since starting my role, I have gained valuable knowledge and practical experience, both professionally and personally. I am grateful for the opportunity to be part of the team and for the guidance, support, and encouragement I receive from my colleagues. Being surrounded by people who are willing to share their knowledge has contributed greatly to my growth and development.
