My name is Jacob Tlou I was born and raised in Limpopo in a big village called Tafelkop. I matriculated in 2016, then I studied financial management at Tshwane North College (Mamelodi Campus) I completed in 2019 June.
Work Experience
*I worked at Woolworths as a floor assistance at Olympus Village from 02 Dec 2019 – 02 Jan 2020.
Why Financial management
I choose financial management because it goes hand to hand with the subject I did in high school which is the commercial stream and I like to play around with numbers an mostly it guides me to keep in control of my finances.
Internship
Around September I received a call from a lady ,forgot her name saying she’s from Outex and said she got my number from TNC .I was surprised at first but then she explained what Outex does , then she told me that they will sent me a link on my email and I have to register on my-college ,update my profile then sent the cv ,I did that an secured my first interview but unfortunately it wasn’t a success .Two month after while at Woolworths got a call for a second interview at Jollify trading and passed the interview and came back on the 2nd of January to signed the contract then after I resigned at Woolworths.
Company
Jollify trading is a small company but the work you get to be exposed to it’s a lot and it helps to have more experience and the possibilities to be retained after the internship are high because all their employees started with internships via Outex. And there’s no white privilege coz we all black starting from the owner of the company, it feels like it’s my second home.
