I am Abongile Sontshatsha, 23 years Old. I was born and raised in Eastern Cape and I’m currently residing in Sunnyside Pretoria. I’m a former student of Tshwane North College where I was doing Financial Diploma in Financial Management , I’ve completed my N6 theory, now I have got internship so that I could be able to have my diploma and graduate
Work Experience
*I was employed by Youco Holdings who works with Hollard and Games, I was a sales and marketing representative for Hollard at GAME store. My duties was to inform customers about every product that is available in GAME store and promote the insurance policy to them while they are doing their shopping.
Why Financial Management N6
I choose to study Financial Management because when I was in school I fell
In love with it, I had a good attitude towards it and loving my teacher.
I then realised that accounting is my thing, I got interested and
I was enjoying calculating it. I was also motivated by my high school teacher
To do my best not to give up when things are not going well.
Internship
I heard about GWConnect from a friend, he created a profile for me then I did the follow up by calling
Kgaugelo to ask if they had my profile, they told me they got it and said if the is something
coming on my department they will call me. One of the blessing days after waiting on them
They called me and ask for me to update my personal description, later she called inviting me foran interview. Kgaugelo was so patient and polite when she was talking to me because
I didn’t hear her but she never gave up on me until I get the internship.
Company
I am now an intern at OUTEX and I am learning a lot. My mentor (Lydia Modiba) is very helpful and all the colleagues at OUTEX are very friendly and helpful. What I am learning at OUTEX is very relevant to what I have studied at college. All thanks to GWConnect and OUTEX for making this opportunity available for me.
