My name is Jackie Vickers and I am 26 years of age. I am from a small village called Luthuli at Kwamhlanga in Mpumalanga Province. I completed my grade 12 in 2012 at Lethabong Senior Secondary School. Thereafter I spent for years at home and in 2016 I decided to enroll at Tshwane North TVET College where I studied Financial Management course.
Work Experience
*From March 2013 to May 2015 I worked as a general worker at Eunice Civil Construction CC doing hard labour.
Why Financial management
I choose financial management because it felt within my career desire. I love accounting and I am so passionate about it - that made it easy for me to connect with financial management course.
Internship
While I was at college studying one of my lecturers told us about Gwconnect and how it is helping students with finding internships. Soon after I completed my N6 I registered on their database, after few months I was called for interviews until I got my internship at United National Breweries.
Company
I now work at United National Breweries which is one of the leading company in brewing African Traditional Beer "umqombothi" in South Africa. The workplace environment is very nice and convenient. Everyone here shows determination and commitment to their works. The experience is so great as it is aligned to what I have been studying for.
