My name is Dineo Chikanalo Makwana and I grew up in Sephaku village in Limpopo. I completed my matric in 2014 at Mahube valley secondary school and further my studies at Soshanguve South TVET college from 2016-2019 where I did a course in Financial Management.
Work Experience
*I started working at Ackerman’s 2015 working as a cashier for 6 months
In the year 2018 I was working as cashier at Game for 2 months
2019 November I was working at Tshwane South TVET collage as an examination assistant
2020 January I was working at Tshwane South TVET collage as storeroom assistance for 2 months.
Why Financial Management
I choose Financial management because finances a very broad industry that has a lot of opportunities that allow a person to grow in business. It is a very interesting course that is easy to understand, it helps individuals understand the financial industry and apply financial principals in their daily lives. I aspire to grow in the industry and become an accountant in future.
Internship
I saw a GW connect post on Facebook about internships for Tvet college students. I started registering on their site and in February 2020 I was invited to my first interview in February 2020. It was successful I got my internship at Big save distribution center.
Company
Working at Big save DC is exciting because the people are friendly, we work together as a team with my colleagues and the challenges help me grow as an individual and learn to communicate and be responsible
