I matriculated from Sir Pierre van Ryneveld High School in 2017, during my matric I had held aspirations of going on to study for an accountancy qualification at an institution of higher learning. When I got my matric results, I realised that while my results were impressive, they were however not good enough to allow me to study for an accountancy degree. At this point I believed the only option available to me was to go and register for a rewrite, until I was advised of the option of perhaps studying with my local Tvet College.
Work Experience
*I worked as a Covid-19 Youth Brigade from June 2020 until November 2020.
Why Financial Management N6
I choose Financial Management because numbers and finance form the backbone of any business, if you do not understand what the numbers are trying to communicate to you, then you will unfortunately not succeed in the world of business, and if you want to be a leader in the business sector, then you need to understand the financial side businesses.
Internship
After completing my N6, I received a call from OUTEX advising me to register a profile on GWConnect to increase my chances of finding an internship. I was sceptical because I had received this call from a stranger from a company I had never heard of. I nonetheless complied with the instructions and register a profile. My profile was registered in February of 2020 and from then on, I waited. I only received a call informing of an interview during October of 2020 at a Company called Torrecid South Africa. I then went for a preliminary interview, after which I was shortlisted for a formal interview with the MD, and after that I was notified that I was one of the successful candidates.
Company
Torrecid South Africa is a subsidiary of Torrecid SA which is a Spanish leader in the ceramic industry.
