About Me
My name is Elsie Selemela and I am 22 years. I come from a family of five in Pretoria. I am the first born and I am my family’s pride. I have acquired a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Accounting from the University of the Witwatersrand in 2019.

Work Experience
*During my academic career, I tutored tax and I also had a stocktaking part time job. I had the privilege to work for Dial a Stock taker in my role as a counter. This was a student part time job only available on Sundays.

Why Bachelor of Commerce
I chose accounting because I am good with numbers. I am also very good with reasoning, so I can explain the meaning behind the numbers. I developed passion for accounting during my high school days. Understanding the concepts and being able to explain them to others made me fall in love with the subject and everything associated with it. I saw that Accounting is where my future lies, and I am going to be part of the winning team.

Internship
I registered as a Job seeker on various job websites including Postnet. I then got a call from Intelleto asking about my qualifications. They called me several times and asked if I would be interested in an Internship program. I agreed and I had an online interview that I submitted via email. I then proceeded to a physical interview at Wizebooks. I got a call back from Intelleto agents who told me that Wizebooks wanted to hire me. I was then called to the offices to sign up a contract and induction program.

Company
Wizebooks is the best academic bookshop in South Africa. It has a good reputation of delivering the best services to clients. The work environment is a good learning space because we have a lot of support. We do a lot of work that requires critical thinking. I am constantly challenged to work hard and be creative. They expose us to diverse responsibilities, and I believe I am going to be a better person with the experience I am getting. I am grateful for this opportunity.
