I am a Pretoria native and have been here my entire life. I Matriculated in 2013 and attended the University of Pretoria graduating in 2017 with a BCom Financial Sciences degree. I then continued studying in 2019 doing CIMA with a tuition provider based in Hatfield, Pretoria. And I am in the final level of the CIMA studies.
Work Experience
*The only past experiences are from helping capture data for the church I used to attend about all the church members and a temp job for a cancer insurance company. At the company I also had most of my duties revolve around calling people to get information for data capturing.
Why BCom Financial Sciences degree.
I studied BCom Financial Sciences from the University of Pretoria. I am currently still studying towards a CGMA qualification from CIMA. I love accountancy and financial management. The use of data, both quantitative and qualitative to make business decisions and how to reason each decision. Just having things fit and make sense is why I chose to go the finance route with my studies.
Internship
I was looking for internship and graduate opportunities both permanent and contract work on PNet. That is where I came across Intelleto and the internship opportunity they were offering. I simply read what was on the opportunity and then applied. The process was fairly simple and a couple of weeks and phone calls later I got an interview opportunity.
Company
I currently work at WizeBooks. Everyone there is friendly and helpful. I have enjoyed my experience working in the finance function, learning so much into not only how a finance department operates but also as how to potentially operate a business and how to make better decisions.
