My name is Jacobine Phumla Mfomande, I am 25 years old, I was born and raised in Mpumalanga, but currently residing in Tembisa. I completed my matric in 2013, and I went to further my studies at Ekurhuleni East Tvet College in 2016. I completed my Marketing Management N6 in 2017.
Work Experience
*I have worked at My Future Life company, and my duties were to recruit clients, register new clients, identify customers needs, provide promotional information to customers, compiling questionnaires, sending reports to management, attend customers queries, and filling documents.
Why Marketing Management N6
I chose to study marketing management because I wanted to try something new, then when I couldn’t make it to the engineering faculty I had a sudden interest in marketing. It turned out to be an interesting course and it taught me a lot about things that we do and need on a daily basis and the impact it has on ourselves, and I believe one day I will own my PR company.
Internship
I applied for internships many times with no luck, then a friend of mine recommended GWConnect, I registered my CV on their website and around February I received a call from them saying I must send them my qualifications, then I got an email invitation for an interview. Two days later I got a call saying that I was shortlisted I should come a sign a contract. Today I am an intern at OUTsurance and I keep recommending Gwconnect to young people like me because I believe they can get help the same way it helped me.
Company
I am currently working at OUTsurance company, and I am placed at Checkers Hyper in Mall of Africa as their agent. The staff here is very friendly and welcoming, and the environment is good for the kind of work I do.
