My name is Zanele Mzwakali. Born and bred in Sterkspruit, a small town in the Eastern Cape province, I am 27 years old. After completing my grade 12 at Sterkspruit senior secondary school in 2014, I moved to Johannesburg to study at Ekurhuleni Western TVET college. In June of 2018, I completed my N6 certificate in Human Resource Management.
Work Experience
* In December 2020, I got an internship opportunity at a primary school in my home village. It was a 5-month contract, so it ended in April 2020. It was a good experience for me, and I learned a lot from it. Being an assistant teacher motivated me to enroll in Unisa's HR training coordinator course next year.
Why Human resource management N6
As a student at EWC, I did not know what I wanted to study. Many of the courses were full, but only HR and Office Administration had space for me, so I chose HR and researched it. I found the course to be very interesting. I liked its broad scope and many opportunities, so I immediately fell in love with it.
Internship
Once my coursework was complete, I began my search for an internship online. While browsing, I came across my college's agency, where I promptly set up a profile. I was notified by Intellecto that I should appear for the interview in Pretoria after a few months of applying. That is how I achieved my internship.
Company
I'm currently employed by Ithemba Property. It has a large workforce and is a very large company. Being an employee at Ithemba is a huge blessing for me. I appreciate Ithemba because they provide a platform for professional and personal growth. They provide a forum for you to voice your team's ideas. What amazes me the most is the fact that they motivate employees and they care about their employee's wellness Additionally, my teammates have helped me grow significantly throughout my career, and I have learned a lot in my line of work. I'm truly having fun.
