My name is Themba Tsivo, I recently relocated in Swartdam North West village, but i was born in Soshanguve township. In 2015 I matriculated from Soshanguve Senior Secondary School then went to further my studies at Tshwane North Tvet College doing Financial Management course and I completed N6 in 2018.
Work Experience
*After completing my N6 course I had hoped that I would find an internship right a way but things turned out differently. In between 2019 and 2020 I managed to secure a job at city of tshwane, where I worked as a Peer educator. Early 2020 I was called by my cousin at Brits to help him with his Kota business, it was just a general assistant Job but unfortunately the business was not performing well in terms of profit i remained a period of two months then returned home . In the first month of 2021 i received a call from the college to participate in a 6-month opportunity in asset verification
Why Financial management N6
Finance is a very broad industry and also one of the important skills in business world. Based on my research and previous experience not only with businesses but also meeting people, i noticed that the most problem that people face is failing to settle their debts and end-up being blacklisted. I chose Financial Management because I wanted to generate solutions by helping people and businesses with financials and operations. So in order to accomplish that, I first needed to complete the final segment of my studies through an 18 months internship so to graduate and be awarded with a National N Diploma.
Internship
After participating in a 6 month opportunity the college promised that if another opportunity comes they will call us, i stayed at home waiting for the call and finally they called about a possible 18 months internship programme from GW Connect. my profile was exposed to reputable companies like Outex. Outex Outsourcing Experts is a company based in Pretoria, menlyn . I did several interviews a telephonic interview with Outex then a formal interview . I received a call from first from the college attended then from Outex, they said my interview was successful and was required to start work on Friday 1st of April 2022. I would like to recommend that all other students/ N6 graduates seeking 18 months internship must send their CVs to their colleges and also to register with GW Connect.
