My name is Florence Mthembu,I am a Management assistant student studied at Tshwane south TVET College undergoing an 18 months internship at McCarthy Volkswagen wonderboom, my training started on July 2022 at McCarthy Vw pre-owned wonderboom as an invoicing clerk where I was specializing mostly with invoicing trade-in's, doing orders, quotations then I was moved to McCarthy Volkswagen wonderboom due to dealership being closed that's when I started doing bookings where I am specializing with booking for car service or repair, taking incoming calls and distributing to the correct person, attachment of job cards, doing transactions and printing out necessary attachment documents. I'm a reserved person, organized, good team player, respectful, passionate, diligent, fast to learn, creative, observant, good listener and can handle pressure. Before I got the internship I was working for a promotion company whereby we would promote perfumes at the mall honestly I loved working there it was really better that staying at home I then applied for language consultant job at a company based in centurion whereby I went for two weeks training before I could start working I struggled to get a space in the afternoon studies so I had to study full time meaning I couldn't proceed to work no more but it was all worth it, I went to Tshwane south TVET College at Odi campus that's where I applied for management assistant in 2019 at first I wasn't really fascinated with the course because I was more focused in not staying home little did I know I'll gain interest and passion for the course I then realized how this course really change my life or how I see things then in 2021 I finally finished my course and passed all my modules I was home 6 months seeking for an internship, I applied at Tshwane south TVET College head office I was then selected for an interview
Work Experience
*Although like most of the young people living in South Africa jobs are hard to find, I was lucky enough to have gotten a job at Midrand as a promoter, whereby I used to promote perfumes and try to sell them, I worked for a period of three months until I applied for another job at centurion as a language consultant, I got through the interview but couldn't proceed with my training due to not having computer skills I was heart broken but I pulled myself up because I know that was a lesson for me it encouraged me to apply for management assistant

I chose to study management assistant reason being that I was passionate about office work, providing with administrative support to managers or project team within a company or organization

Company
I'm currently at McCarthy Volkswagen wonderboom at lavender road wonderboom, I'm at a service or workshop department now doing bookings for car service and repair, there are technicians,parts clerk,costing clerk, warranty clerk and service advisor. It is a very good environment I really enjoy working with my team they are training me well & grooming me. It is a big company which renders both sales and service
