Why Diploma in IT
Ever since I was a child, I held a deep fascination for technology. I was constantly inquisitive, driven
by the need to understand how things were constructed and what drove their functionality. My early
attempts at fixing phone software were the seeds of my growing interest. This curiosity evolved even
further during my high school years when I realized I could pursue formal education in this field and
excel in it. That's when coding became a significant part of my journey.
What truly captivated me, though, was the awareness of the substantial income potential this career
path offered. However, beyond the financial aspect, my primary motivation remains my genuine
passion for acquiring the skills of information technology and continually honing them to become better at what I do.
Internship
A friend of mine, who is currently a student at the University of Pretoria, recommended an
opportunity to me. He forwarded me an email he received from my college, and I promptly applied.
To my surprise, I received a response within a week, inviting me for an interview. Although the initial
interview didn't go as planned, they showed continued interest by reaching out to me for another
interview, which eventually led to the internship I am currently engaged in.

STS3D is a software firm specializing in simulated training solutions. Their primary focus is on
employing digital technology to replicate geological risks in the realm of underground mining. By
blending art, science, and technology, they're dedicated to enhancing the safety of mining operations
through immersive learning solutions.
However, what truly sets STS3D apart is their exceptional approach to welcoming newcomers, like
me. From the moment I joined, they made me feel like more than just an intern; they made me part
of their team. Whenever I encounter challenges, their support extends beyond professional matters,
as they are always there to assist me both in my work and in my personal growth.
