My name is Sphiwe Mngomezulu I am 22 years old I live in Katlehong and I completed my matric in 2013 at Fumana Comprehensive School. I then attended my higher education at Ekurhuleni West College in the year 2015 where I completed my N6 in Financial management in 2016.
Work Experience
*In year 2014 after my matric I got a job at UTI which is currently called DSV as a packer and I got a promotion to be a picker after 6 months. I worked for 1 year.
Why Financial Management N6
From high school Accounting it has been my first love and I knew that this is the path that I’m going to follow. Finance is not easy to attain so it is guaranteed to set you apart and it also allows you to interact with decision makers of outside organizations.
Internship
I went back to DSV after my N6 up until a friend of mine (Thembeka Ngwenya) told me about GWConnect, Then I registered online and it took me about 6 months before I got a call from Dorcas Mbalate (HR Assistant) and told me that I should come for an interview at Outex where I was successful. I then attended another interview at Murray and Roberts where I’m currently based.
Company
I’m currently doing my internship for one of the leading engineering, contracting and construction service company in Africa, Middle East, Southeast Asia, Australasia and North South America. Murray and Roberts Cementation has a friendly environment especially my finance team, I love working with them and this is going to be the best 18 months of my life.
