Having to write a success story it assures me I'm moving towards accomplishing my goals. My name is Ida Kekana. I reside in Pretoria, Acardia. I completed my Matric in 2019. I was young and I only had access to newspapers, but I had a dream of being a graduate. After matric I studied Office Administration and Early Childhood Development and Education at IIE Rosebank college.
I developed passion for Finance when I tried doing short course online and I decided to register at Maluti FET College for Financial Management.
Work Experience
*I worked at Arise and Shine day care as a teacher. I was creating lessons plans and teaching children from age 3-6 years. I also volunteered at the local creche and I knew then that I have to reconsider my study choices. I also helped with finance at my sisters business.
Why financial management N6
I studied Financial Management because I wanted to become CA one day. I knew that it wasn't going to be an easy course but I dedicated my time to the course. I know that Financial Management is a step closer to that dream. And my love for money also helped me to find this career interesting and my passion grew.
Internship
After completing my N6 I tried applying for intership so I can obtain my qualification so I applied for jobs with no luck. I decided to open a spaza shop at home with my friend and it was the best decision we made. I didn't stop applying for interships until I saw GWConnect advert about interships. I attached my CV on their database and after a week they called me. I was interviewed and I passed the interview. I got a job offer after meeting with my employers.
Company
I work at Bidvest McCarthy Shared Services as Credit Control (Intern). The work environment is productive and I learn new things everyday. I'm motivated to do my job because I see that my colleagues really love what they do. My co-workers are amazing. I already made friends and I have amazing relationship with everyone. I'm already motivated in setting my goals.
