<p>Our client is the leading strategic outsource partner of choice for staffing solutions, facility management, industrial, mining and related services in Southern Africa.&nbsp; They are looking for a SAIPA Accountant who is willing to travel to Nelspruit on a regular basis.</p>
<ul>
<li>Updating of transactions on a day-to-day basis for various companies</li>
<li>Prepare, compile, examine and analyse financial information to access accuracy and completeness in order to prepare monthly financial packs and annual financial statements</li>
<li>Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with accepted policies and procedures</li>
<li>Make certain all financial reporting deadlines are met</li>
<li>Prepare financial management reports including providing reasons for variances through close relationship with Head of Companies(HOC&rsquo;s)</li>
<li>Develop, maintain, and analyse budgets in conjunction with Head of Companies, preparing periodic reports that compare budgeted costs to actual costs.</li>
<li>Ensure accurate and timely monthly, half-yearly and year end close processes</li>
<li>Establish and monitor the implementation and maintenance of accounting control procedures</li>
<li>Resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities</li>
<li>Continuous management and support of budget and forecast activities</li>
<li>monitor and support taxation requirements (PAYE, VAT, Income Tax etc)</li>
<li>Submission of tax returns on e-filing (VAT, EMP etc)</li>
<li>Correspondence of SARS related matters when applicable</li>
<li>Develop and maintain financial databases on Pastel</li>
<li>Prepare for financial audit and ensure reconciliations are up to date</li>
<li>Oversee accurate and appropriate recording and analysis of revenues and expenses</li>
<li>Evaluate and advise on business operations including revenue and expenditure trends, financial commitments and future revenues through financial packs and detail comments</li>
<li>Collect and analyse financial information to recommend or develop efficient use of resources and procedures, provide strategic recommendations and maintain solutions to business and financial problems</li>
<li>Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations and integrity of financial data</li>
<li>Survey operations/business units to ascertain accounting needs and to recommend, develop, and maintain solutions to business and financial problems</li>
</ul>
